&lt;p&gt;In November 2012, the New York Times reported that 5-Hour Energy had been cited in 13 death reports filed with the FDA between 2009 and 2012. The reports also cited 92 serious adverse events including heart attacks. The story broke as the FDA was also investigating Monster Energy for similar adverse event reports, creating a wave of scrutiny over the high-caffeine energy drink category.&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
